Privacy Policy

AussieBuckets is built around one rule: we never connect to your bank account. There is no bank login, no Open Banking connection, and no third party that can see your bank credentials — because we never ask for them.

What we collect

When you use AussieBuckets, we store: your account details (email), the transactions you import from a bank-exported CSV file, the buckets and categorisation rules you set up, and any Offset/HECS/Super figures you choose to enter manually. This data is stored in our database (Supabase, hosted with row-level security so only you can read your own data) so it stays in sync if you use AussieBuckets on more than one device.

What we don't do

• We don't connect to your bank or ask for your online banking password, ever.
• We don't sell or share your financial data with advertisers or data brokers.
• We don't run your data through a third-party AI or language model — categorisation is done with rules you control, not AI.
• We don't show ads.

Who can see your data

Only you. Our infrastructure providers (database hosting, email delivery) process data on our behalf under standard processing agreements, but they don't use it for their own purposes.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it at any time by emailing support@aussiebuckets.app. This policy is written to be consistent with the Australian Privacy Act — a full legal review is planned before public launch.
